Job Summary

Environmental Manager responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance across Hunt Refining Company operations, including managing Title V, CAA, NPDES, RCRA, and SPCC permits; overseeing permit renewals, modifications, and new applications; serving as primary liaison for regulatory inspections and enforcement matters; coordinating reporting such as DMRs, TRI, BWON, and annual hazardous waste reports; directing LDAR, fenceline monitoring, and CEMS/PEMS programs; administering wastewater, solid and hazardous waste programs, and SWPPPs; delivering environmental training, leading internal audits, driving performance improvements, supporting sustainability reporting, and coordinating environmental initiatives across locations; building regulatory relationships and participating in industry groups; and ensuring budget and project alignment with environmental compliance goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of environmental compliance experience with at least three (3) years in a petroleum refinery, petrochemical facility, or comparable heavy industrial setting
  • Working knowledge of the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), RCRA, EPCRA, and SPCC regulations required
  • Must have demonstrated experience managing Title V air permits and NPDES permits
  • Proven track record managing regulatory agency relationships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required, including ability to prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory correspondence
  • Must be computer literate and accomplished in word processing and spreadsheet software programs
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and evaluate technical and regulatory writings
  • Understanding of refinery processes and operations sufficient to determine regulatory applicability
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Will be required to obtain a valid TWIC card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential)
  • Experience with Environmental Management Systems is preferred
