Job Summary
Provide leadership and project management expertise on environmental assessment and remediation projects for industrial and manufacturing clients. Develop strategic proposals and budgets for new opportunities while supporting technical development of bids to identify and lead major project bids. Act as the client's leading advocate within AECOM and AECOM's leading advocate with the client, directing diverse teams on frameworks to support successful delivery to budget and programme. Rigorously apply safety, quality, and ethics policies as the lead verifier on major projects, ensuring technical solutions meet client briefs with risks adequately managed. Mentor junior staff to support their technical development in project delivery and risk management, leading a team of technical experts and environmental professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate Degree in a relevant discipline (Geotechnical, Geology, Environmental Engineering, etc.)
- 8 years of experience in the field
- Experience with contaminated sites in Ontario
- Deep understanding of the applicable Ontario regulations and protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Registered, or have the ability to register as a P.Eng. or P.Geo in Ontario
- Fifteen years of directly relevant related experience within the environmental and remedial fields
- Experience servicing industrial and manufacturing clients on project delivery
- Proposal writing, job scoping, project plans
- Client management skills
- Willingness to travel to job sites (sometimes remote) on occasion
- Working in a team setting to meet timelines and quality management
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
