Job Summary
Review procedures, training materials, and compliance documentation; assist with environmental assessments to identify improvement opportunities at plant locations; participate in incident investigations and support corrective actions. Collect, analyze, and report environmental performance data and monthly metrics while maintaining accurate records for wastewater, air, and stormwater compliance. Attend meetings with engineering and environmental teams to learn how standards are applied across operations and assist in developing SOPs and training materials. This internship provides hands-on exposure to regulatory programs within a manufacturing environment, offering networking events, farm tours, and community volunteer opportunities for students pursuing degrees in environmental science.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
- Junior or Senior standing at an accredited college or university
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Involvement in campus organizations, volunteer activities, or part-time employment demonstrating initiative and leadership
- Participation in environmental organizations, projects, or related extracurricular activities
