Job Summary
Conduct workplace risk assessments, investigate incidents and near misses, and perform root-cause analysis to drive corrective actions. Manage assigned safety programs including lockout/tagout, mobile equipment, and contractor safety while ensuring compliance with GMP, WA OSHA, and ISO 14001 standards. Coordinate the Safety Committee, deliver training programs, and oversee environmental permits, spill prevention, and hazardous waste disposal documentation. Monitor wastewater and stormwater compliance, lead emergency preparedness drills, and support the return-to-work process in collaboration with HR and site leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, Business Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collect, analyze, and report safety incident data in accordance with corporate reporting requirements
- Ability to provide accurate and consistent EHS guidance and support to site management
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Desired Qualifications
- Professional EHS certifications (REM, CIH, ASP, CSP, CHMM)
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or comparable environmental or quality management systems
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
