Job Summary
Develop and maintain the Safety and Health Management System with a focus on ISO 45001 and OSHA compliance. Lead safety governance, risk assessments, incident management, and site assessments while investigating near misses and mitigating workplace hazards. Conduct inspections in manufacturing and warehouse environments, track safety performance metrics, and deliver safety training. Partner cross-functionally to integrate safety into daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel 50% to company sites. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 3–7 years of EHS experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in Safety, EHS, or Compliance Engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Hands-on experience with ISO 45001 implementation and auditing
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and enforcement practices
- Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational, documentation, and follow up skills
- Proficiency with reporting tools, dashboards, and management systems
- Ability to work in manufacturing and warehouse environments
- Ability to conduct inspections, walk production areas, and participate in audits
- Familiarity with critical thinking, hypothesis-driven problem-solving methodologies & ISO9001; for example: 8D, DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, etc
- Operation - Process orientation with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to travel 50% and Occasional travel to company sites
