Job Summary
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees. Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Maintain and update EHS documentation, including permits, plans, and recordkeeping. Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures. Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Support emergency response planning and drills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science field
- 3-5 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Proven experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of control measures
- Ability to develop and deliver EHS training programs
- Experience with EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 certification processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate safety committee meetings
- Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
- Experience with ergonomics assessments and improvements
- Familiarity with hazardous waste management regulations (e.g., RCRA)
