Job Summary
The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist will implement and coordinate EHS programs to maintain a safe, healthy workplace. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO, local/state regulations), audits/inspections, incident investigations, training design and delivery (PPE, emergency response, safe work practices), and promoting a zero-harm culture. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into daily operations, lead investigations to identify root causes and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement across EHS programs within a manufacturing/healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in environmental health and safety management, preferably in manufacturing or healthcare
- Experience implementing safety programs and job safety analyses
- Familiarity with industrial health practices
- Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
- Experience in conducting job hazard analyses, incident investigations, and implementing safety programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
