Job Summary
Ensure site employee safety and health by proactively recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazardous workplace conditions. Audit policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements. Investigate injuries and near-misses, analyze data to ensure corrective actions are completed, and manage documentation for permits and governmental liaising. Oversee waste, water, air management, and hazardous waste programs while developing emergency response and industrial hygiene initiatives. Maintain EH&S management system conformance and record keeping consistency. This onsite role at Pratt & Whitney's Clayville, NY manufacturing site supports ongoing compliance and risk reduction efforts.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience working in environmental health and safety
- Master's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience working with OSHA, Federal and State environmental regulations in an aerospace manufacturing facility

- Experience working at an OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) site
- Demonstrated experience organizing and managing multiple projects and programs in a rapidly fluctuating environment
- Professional Certification in the EH&S field (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.)
