Job Summary
Implement and sustain the 'Zero Harm' safety program by maintaining site records, managing Worker's Compensation claims, and leading incident investigations including near misses. Monitor occupational health and safety data to identify trends, author H&S policies, and conduct key inspections to ensure global compliance with regulatory standards. Provide EHS consultative services for new equipment design, maintain PPE programs, and drive operational improvements to cut costs while ensuring safe quality food products through GMPs, allergen controls, and HACCP protocols. Document all visitors, contractors, and customers, immediately report food safety issues, and partner with teams to share knowledge across functional areas. Engage all employees to embed a high-performance safety culture and support proposed improvements using effective communication strategies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of EHS experience
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day
- Ability to handle heavier items with proper lifting equipment or team-assisted techniques
- Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled hours during peak periods or critical operations
- Must possess adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills
