Job Summary
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses by determining root causes and implementing preventative measures. Deliver EHS training programs covering hazard communication, emergency response, and personal protective equipment. Manage hazardous waste programs, ensuring proper storage, disposal, and documentation. Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. Lead emergency response efforts including fire prevention, spill containment, and medical emergencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes and new product development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering field
- 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs
- Experience conducting EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 management systems
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
- Experience with developing and delivering EHS training programs
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms for data management and reporting
