Job Summary
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventative measures. Deliver EHS training programs on hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response. Manage hazardous waste disposal and maintain documentation including permits and safety data sheets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of manufacturing EHS experience, and knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. Compensation ranges from $66,000 to $99,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering field
- 3-5 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and training
- Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for EHS metrics
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
- Experience with process safety management (PSM) regulations and programs
