Job Summary
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions. Provide EHS training to employees on topics such as lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and hazard communication. Manage hazardous waste programs, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and disposal. Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare regulatory reports. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience. Salary ranges from $66,000 to $99,000 depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering field
- 3-5 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Proven ability to conduct EHS training, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Experience developing and implementing EHS programs and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to EHS
- Experience with worker's compensation claims management and return-to-work programs
