Job Summary
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist will support consulting projects in areas such as industrial hygiene (IH), safety, and environmental health and safety (EHS) management. Responsibilities include conducting IH surveys, performing indoor environmental quality investigations, and conducting safety and health assessments and audits. The role requires preparing written reports, researching findings, developing health and safety procedures, and delivering training at client sites. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of related professional experience, with familiarity in OSHA regulations and exposure monitoring practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in occupational health and safety, environmental health, public health with a focus on industrial hygiene or safety, or a related science or engineering discipline with relevant work experience.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in health and safety roles.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene exposure monitoring practices.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Capable of managing work independently with support from others.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel are essential.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience conducting safety and health audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Skills in presenting safety and health training sessions and communicating audit findings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with safety and health equipment, software, and other tools.
- Professional certification(s), or willingness to achieve.
