Job Summary
EHS leader for shop fabrication, coating operations and field construction projects — hands-on role embedded in a heavy civil/industrial contractor. Develop, implement, and improve safety and health policies across shop and field; investigate incidents/near-misses and implement lasting fixes; travel to job sites to conduct audits and training; lead and track safety certifications; coordinate environmental compliance (SWPPP, air quality permits, Tier II, spill response) and manage OSHA 300 logs; support industrial coatings operations with exposure controls and ventilation; run monthly safety committees and align EHS goals with operations, PMs, and HR. Requires 8+ years of safety experience, 5+ years in construction/manufacturing, knowledge of OSHA standards and multi-state regulations, and a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent). CESCL/CSP/CIH/CHMM is a strong plus; valid driver's license; willingness to travel across Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of safety experience
- 5+ years in construction or manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, Army Corps EM 385-1-1, and multi-state regulatory requirements
- Experience with environmental compliance: SWPPP, air quality permits, spill prevention, agency coordination
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training
- Proficiency in EHS software, incident tracking platforms, and Microsoft Office
