Job Summary
Lead and manage environmental health and safety programs across Canadian locations from the Brampton, ON facility. Ensure compliance with provincial and federal environmental and safety regulations, audit and enhance EHS training for Lead Hands, Supervisors, and Managers, coordinate safety programs to reduce injuries, lead JHSC audits to meet provincial standards, manage WSIB claims support, conduct hazard assessments and risk analysis, lead incident investigations, maintain permits and regulatory records, track safety performance metrics, and oversee contractor and supplier management. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field, minimum 5 years’ EHS management experience in manufacturing, knowledge of Canadian OHS regulations, WSIB/MOL process familiarity, and strong leadership and training capabilities; bilingual French/English is an asset. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupation Health and safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an EHS Management role in a manufacturing or metals service center environment
- Working understanding of forklift, crane, and other industrial equipment
- Must be well versed in Canadian OHS regulations (BC, AB, MB, ON, and QC focus)
- Working understanding of WSIB and MOL processes
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Officer (CSO) or equivalent certification is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train employees
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
