Job Summary
Environmental Health & Safety Manager for two Kansas City facilities in KS. Lead EHS oversight across manufacturing and warehousing; develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; mentor site teams to drive EHS initiatives; manage EHS training and documentation; conduct risk assessments and investigations; coordinate with insurance carriers and external service providers; maintain EHS records and reports; oversee waste handling and disposal; ensure PPE and safety equipment are in good condition; participate in OSHA and EPA inspections; serve as site representative to COE and Green Team; drive safety performance and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in EHS Management, EHS Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or similar
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading Environmental, Health and Safety within a manufacturing facility
- Preferred direct experience with environmental management / reporting in Kansas for: a large quantity hazardous waste generator, Class II Air permit, Stormwater management
- Experience with an Environmental, Health & Safety Management system such as VelocityEHS
- Experience leading safety committees
- Experience developing and delivering EHS training
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar industry recognized certification preferred, but not required.
