Job Summary
Environmental Health & Safety Manager role overseeing EHS programs across multiple Canadian facilities. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance with Ontario MOL, WSIB, OSHA, EPA; environmental permitting, inspections, and reporting (air, water, waste); managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs; ensuring permits and regulatory requirements are met; leading hazard identification, risk assessments, and risk-reduction initiatives; developing and maintaining safety documentation (SDS) and process safety; coordinating incidents investigations with root-cause analysis; managing workers’ compensation and return-to-work plans; delivering EHS training, coaching leaders, and strengthening safety culture; leading JHSC as management chair; providing cross-site EHS support and ensuring KPIs are met. Requires strong communication, organizational skills, and experience in manufacturing environments; CSP/ASP/GSP/CRSP/CRST certifications preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 5–8+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Multi-shift manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Professional certification such as CSP, ASP/GSP, CRSP, or CRST preferred
