Job Summary

Travel to each MG-NA site to complete a waste process flow matrix by documenting waste generation, disposal methods, and current vendors. Conduct line-by-line permit reviews and audit each site for compliance gaps. Review site compliance calendars for completeness and effectiveness. Monitor environmental and sustainability data for anomalies and negative trends. Collaborate with plant leadership teams in state-of-the-art facilities on process improvement initiatives. This summer internship serves as a talent pipeline for Avery Dennison's Early Careers Program in Environmental Health and Safety, offering hands-on manufacturing experience within Northeast Ohio. Candidates must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time for week-long assignments across North America sites.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Science or Engineering with a focus on Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or manufacturing
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Comfortable with relocation now and in the future
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
Must be willing to travel to sites across North America for week-long assignments as needed
Must be available for weekend shifts
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
