Job Summary
Lead and manage Airbus Aerosystems Kinston EHS programs to support site expansion and governance of OHSMS/EMS, driving continual improvement in injury reduction, participation, and sustainability. Oversee development and maintenance of document retention and control, align with ISO 45001/14001, and engage stakeholders to ensure system functionality. Develop and lead routine leadership-level status updates, manage-site incident management (e.g., FISH) and risk/opportunity matrices, and execute high-impact EHS projects (People Safety@Work, AOS). Requires strong data interpretation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration, with onsite 100% work arrangement and potential travel up to 10% annually. Preferred MS degree and further certifications (ISO, CSP, CSP/ISO auditors).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in industrial and/or Environmental, Health and Safety Engineering or related fields, or certification or an equivalent amount of experience
- 5-8 years proven EHS experience required, experience at system level
- Extensive knowledge of management systems (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001), policy and procedure development
- OSHA Training and/or certification(s)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Onsite 100% travel noted as optional
- Experience with PDCA, risk management, and governance of EHS programs
