Job Summary
Conduct risk identification for safety and health hazards and develop control measures to mitigate them. Collaborate on preparing and reviewing standard operating procedures (POE) related to EHS. Participate in investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses to implement corrective and preventive actions. Support safety, health, and environmental inspections and audits to identify improvement areas. Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste while ensuring regulatory compliance. Train employees on EHS topics, including inductions and specific courses. Collect and analyze EHS data to identify trends and performance metrics. Stay updated on applicable EHS laws and regulations for the industry and location. Maintain EHS documentation and records. Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations. Assist in ISO 14001 internal audits and chemical product evaluations. Manage RME & RP and environmental legal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Título universitario en Ingeniería Ambiental, Ingeniería Industrial, Seguridad Industrial, Química o campo relacionado
- Experiencia previa de 1 a 3 años en un rol de EHS
- Conocimiento de las leyes y regulaciones de EHS mexicanas (STPS, SEMARNAT, etc.)
- Habilidad para identificar y evaluar riesgos de seguridad y salud
- Capacidad para trabajar de manera independiente y como parte de un equipo
- Fuertes habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita en español
- Inglés intermedio (lectura y comprensión de documentos técnicos)
- Manejo de herramientas de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications
- Certificación en primeros auxilios o brigadas de emergencia
- Auditor interno de ISO 14001
- Alta y evaluación de productos químicos
- Gestión de RME & RP
- Manejo de requisitos legales ambientales
