Job Summary
Conduct routine workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and job-specific safety evaluations while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. Standardize and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs, and collect, analyze, and report safety and environmental performance data. Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking, and assist with hands-on instruction and training record maintenance. Maintain EHS logs, permits, and audit documentation, and participate in emergency response planning and drills. Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a proactive safety culture. Requires a Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field, 1–3 years of experience, and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Engineering or related field
- Foundational knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and related compliance standards
- 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to interpret technical documents and perform basic measurements and calculations
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30
- ISO 1400 training
- DOT, RCRA, Hazmat training
- Lean Manufacturing
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or reporting software
