Job Summary
Oversee development, planning, and implementation of environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures for the Ladysmith facility. Manage the EHS regulations management team, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and handle all contact with appropriate agencies. Oversee preparation of contracts for waste disposal firms and monitor waste handling while developing and overseeing employee training programs in compliance, hazardous material handling, and emergency response. Work with cross-functional teams to improve process ergonomics, participate in assessments, and present at monthly EHS committee meetings. Ensure appropriate corrective action is taken for health and safety hazards and select personnel to ensure efficient function operation. Report to the Plant Manager onsite at the Ladysmith, WI plant.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, EPA, DOT, WDNR, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Professional degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Safety, Environmental Sciences or Engineering, or similar program
- Professional Safety / Environmental Certifications (CSP, CIH, REM)
- Experience with SAP
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented style
- Ability to influence and coach all levels of the organization to ensure effective EHS performance
