Job Summary
Conduct environmental, health, and safety inspections, assessments, compliance reviews, and field observations across Jacksonville Vehicle and Parts Operations. Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace concerns while assisting with root cause analysis and managing corrective action follow-up. Perform workplace assessments, measurements, monitoring activities, and risk evaluations to support implementation of EHS programs and regulatory requirements. Collect, enter, organize, and analyze EHS performance data, trends, and metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Deliver training, administer the First Aid/AED program, and develop communications initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field
- 1-5 years of work experience or internship, preferably in EHS, compliance, environmental, safety, operations, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or related experience
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental compliance requirements
- Experience conducting inspections, investigations, corrective-action follow-ups, and compliance assessments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Must be able to pass all applicable TSA-related background screening requirements necessary to access and support operations at the Blount Island facility
Desired Qualifications
- Internship or hands-on working experience supporting EHS programs in industrial, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environments
- Experience in logistics, distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environments
- Experience working with regulatory agencies or compliance audits
- Experience utilizing EHS software, incident management systems, or compliance management tools
- Professional certifications such as ASP, GSP, OHST, CHST, or similar credentials
