Job Summary

Lead and scale Chaos Industries' Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across manufacturing, laboratory, testing, warehouse, and office environments. Develop EHS policies, procedures, training, metrics, and reporting systems to support growth and regulatory compliance. Own core safety programs (Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety, Hazard Communication, Contractor Safety, Machine Guarding, PPE, Emergency Response, Hazardous Waste Management). Conduct workplace inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Lead incident investigations (root cause analysis and corrective actions) and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Supply Chain, and Operations to integrate safety into processes and day-to-day operations. Manage environmental compliance activities, permits, regulatory reporting, hazardous materials programs, and waste management. Develop and deliver EHS training, coaching, and employee engagement to foster a proactive safety culture. Serve as primary EHS subject matter expert and liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, customers, and external stakeholders. Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of EHS experience required. Willingness to work onsite across multiple environments; ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel as needed. Preferred qualifications include experience in startup/high-growth environments, ISO/AS management systems, and relevant certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial environments
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA/Cal/OSHA and applicable environmental regulations
  • Experience developing and managing EHS programs including incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work onsite across office, manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and outdoor environments; travel periodically
