Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate safety and operations training programs, track completion, and serve as the primary point of contact for site and project safety. Manage monthly safety meetings for all assets, support incident management and investigations, and organize emergency response drills. Participate in internal and external audits while assisting with environmental compliance and Process Safety Management elements. Communicate with Operations to schedule and track required training. This role requires familiarity with regulatory agencies including RRC, OSHA, and EPA, along with strong documentation and communication skills. Occasional travel to remote sites may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Occupational Safety, Environmental, or a related field; or equivalent knowledge demonstrated by work experience
- Working knowledge of safety compliance, site safety, project safety, incident management, and incident investigation practices
- Ability to coordinate training programs, safety meetings, and emergency response drills
- Ability to communicate with Operations and other stakeholders to schedule and track required training
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and Process Safety Management elements
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory agency requirements, including RRC, OCC, ODEQ, OSHA, PHMSA, TCEQ, and EPA
- Strong organization, follow-through, and documentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, as required by business needs
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of EHS experience in oil and gas, midstream, refining, or chemical industry preferred
- 3 years of training program experience preferred
- 3 years of experience interacting with regulatory agencies such as RRC, OCC, ODEQ, OSHA, PHMSA, TCEQ, and EPA preferred
- 3 years of experience in NIMS, ICS, and emergency response preferred
- ASP, CSP, OHST, CFPS, CSHO, or related certification preferred
