Job Summary
Oversee EHS programs in a semiconductor fab, focusing on high-hazard chemical management, cleanroom safety, tool installation oversight, and regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local requirements. Partner with operations, facilities, engineering, and tool-install teams to ensure safe startup, continuous improvement, and incident-free production. Responsibilities include monitoring cleanroom and fab EHS compliance, conducting walkthroughs, supporting tool qualification and change management, overseeing hazardous materials and gas safety, maintaining SDS and chemical inventories, participating in emergency response, ensuring regulatory emissions and waste disposal compliance, implementing and maintaining LOTO, confined space, fall protection, electrical safety, and machine guarding programs, conducting incident investigations, delivering EHS training, supporting inspections, reviewing tool install packages for EHS compliance, and collaborating with facilities engineering to ensure safe operation. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2–5 years of EHS experience in relevant environments, knowledge of OSHA/EPA/NFPA and semiconductor-specific codes, experience with hazardous chemicals and gas detection, semiconductor fab experience preferred, and relevant certifications (GISO, CHMM, CSP, CIH, OSHA 30) as well as ISO 14001/ISO 45001 familiarity. The role emphasizes strong communications, analytical mindset, and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of EHS experience, ideally in semiconductor, chemical manufacturing, or high‐tech environments
- Certifications such as GISO, CHMM, CSP, CIH, or OSHA 30
- Experience with EHS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Familiarity with SPC, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong communication and ability to influence engineering and operations teams
