Job Summary
Guide safety, health, and environmental initiatives while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations like OSHA and EPA. Foster an incident-free workplace through education, coaching, and training, then analyze accidents involving people or property to implement corrective actions. Create and monitor safety statistics, assist with workers' compensation reporting, and develop PowerPoint presentations using MS Office tools. Some knowledge of Behavior Based Safety programs is required. Must be willing to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. This role is based in Mattoon, IL at a manufacturing plant. Applicants must not require visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, in Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Health and Safety
- Two-year degrees may be considered with good experience
- One or two years' experience with a four year degree, in a manufacturing environment
- More experience is necessary with a two year degree
- Must have experience in an EHS role with a manufacturing company
- Must have excellent skills with MS Office tools for the purpose of writing reports, communication by email, analyzing statistics, developing PowerPoint presentations
- Must be willing to work in a factory/manufacturing environment
- Must not need visa sponsorship of any kind, either now or in the future
