Job Summary
Conduct daily audits of the Bridgeton, NJ plant to ensure adherence to EHS, food safety, and regulatory protocols. Engage with workers to identify unsafe activities and enforce safe work practices while administering programs protecting employees, visitors, and contractors. Document audit findings, incidents, and root cause analyses into the Ardagh Risk Management System and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies. Ensure all staff receive required EHS training and stay current on industry trends and best practices. Travel up to 10% as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Independent thinking and ability to resolve regulatory and technical issues to best advise management on resolving EHS issues
- Persuasive communication skills for training and reporting findings
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to interpret OSHA and EPA regulations and related safety/environmental regulations
- Professional certification (e.g. CSP, CIH, CHMM)
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- ISO 14001/45001 experience
- Experience in creating Power Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards
