Job Summary
Develop and implement health and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and company standards. Conduct regular workplace assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Provide training and education on policies, emergency response, and hazardous material handling. Maintain accurate records of all safety activities and create updated safety protocols and environmental compliance procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a safety role within construction, industrial plants or similar industries
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a construction or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field a plus
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification are preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects a plus
