Job Summary
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to support and promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across Splitstone and The Lunch Bag. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, conducting risk assessments, reviewing safety statements, ensuring compliance with HSA requirements, leading audits and corrective actions, delivering training, coordinating emergency preparedness, and driving continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental performance. The role requires coordinating contractor and facilities management, maintaining documentation, reporting KPIs, and engaging employees in safety initiatives across manufacturing and school meal operations in Ireland.
Required Qualifications
- Essential: Relevant third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Experience in a Health & Safety or EHS role within manufacturing/food production.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
