Job Summary
Environmental, Health and Safety Manager responsible for developing, implementing and improving safety programs at Veritas Steel’s Eau Claire facility. Lead OSHA regulatory compliance, safety training, incident investigations, and metrics to drive a Zero Incident Culture. Partner with HR on workers' compensation matters; maintain EPA and OSHA records; chair the Site Safety Committee; oversee near-miss reporting, emergency evacuation drills, PPE provisioning, and environmental/safety program governance. Requires seven years of progressive safety experience, a bachelor’s degree in a technical or safety field, and strong communication skills; CSP/ASP/CIH preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or safety related field
- CSP, ASP, CIH preferred
- Seven years of progressive safety experience
- Experience with OSHA regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in workers' compensation issues
- PPE provision and safety training
- OSHA/Environmental compliance knowledge
- MSDS/EPAs knowledge
- Emergency preparedness and drills
- Experience with audits and site safety committees
