Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary
Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure full compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Manage EHS data, reporting, and documentation while investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses to implement corrective and preventative actions. Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the Pearl, Mississippi facility, and develop training programs for employees at all levels. Partner with site leadership to promote a safety culture, maintain accurate records, and collaborate cross-functionally with operations and HR. Stay current on regulatory changes and participate in internal and external audits to ensure timely resolution of findings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience supporting production floor operations and facilities
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements
- Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and safety training
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organized
- Strong attention to detail with effective documentation and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and work on a computer for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Certification such as CSP, CIH, or equivalent preferred
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt experience is a plus
