Job Summary
Lead and manage all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and systems for the metals business in Robesonia, PA, establishing a robust, sustainable EHS culture aligned with USDOL OSHA, US EPA, and PADEP regulations. Identify facility risks, develop proactive control measures, and conduct regular audits to mitigate hazards and drive continual improvement toward zero injuries. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, lead incident investigations, and manage site-specific EHS practices, training, and budget allocation. Review capital projects for compliance and support insurance initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- BS - Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Applied Science, Engineering or similar major
- 5 - 10 years of demonstrated EHS leadership and success in a primary metals manufacturing environment
- appropriate progression of increased responsibility
- Eligible to be certified as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Expertise to use equipment designed to inspect, test, monitor, and measure environmental levels
- Hands-on experience with the development, implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs and systems in a manufacturing environment
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated skills with PC office applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point
