Job Summary
EHS Manager responsible for leading plant-wide safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives in a Plymouth, MI manufacturing site. Manages policies and procedures to maintain OSHA/EPA compliance, leads ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 certification efforts, conducts risk assessments and JHA, performs safety audits and facility inspections, oversees waste management and environmental programs, investigates incidents with root-cause analysis, and designs safety training and emergency response procedures. Requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards, Lean manufacturing experience, and proven ability to develop and implement corrective actions and robust EHS systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing settings
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards
- Experience managing ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 systems
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience leading lean manufacturing environment safety initiatives
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance
- Experience managing ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and training capabilities
- Analytical, data-driven problem-solving with high attention to detail
