Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary

Maintain a visible field presence to engage directly with craft labor, foremen, and superintendents for hazard recognition, coaching, and risk mitigation. Conduct inspections, audits, and observations to verify corrective actions while interpreting Haselden safety standards for safe operations. Participate in pre-task planning, high-risk activity reviews, and incident investigations to support root cause analysis and environmental compliance efforts. Deliver field-based safety talks and training programs to reinforce accountability across project teams. Requires 2–5 years of EH&S experience in construction, strong knowledge of OSHA standards, and ability to travel to active project locations. Salary range $80,000–$95,000 annually.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in commercial construction, heavy civil, industrial, or comparable field operations environments
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards, environmental compliance requirements, and applicable state and local regulations
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, observations, and incident investigations within active construction environments
  • Knowledge of fall protection, excavation and trenching, crane and rigging, confined space entry, silica exposure control, electrical safety, and lockout/tagout
  • Ability to lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions
  • Ability to interpret safety plans, engineered drawings, SDSs, and technical documents
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb ladders, and access elevated work areas
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including fall protection when necessary
  • Travel to assigned project locations as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with stormwater management practices, SWMP implementation, and environmental compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management platforms such as Procore
  • OSHA certifications and professional credentials such as CHST, ASP, SMP, CSP, or OSHA 500
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
