Job Summary

Maintain a visible field presence to engage with craft labor, foremen, and project managers for hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and coaching on safe work execution. Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to verify corrective actions while supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis. Interpret safety standards and regulations to integrate accountability into daily operations, pre-task planning, and high-risk activity reviews. Deliver field-based safety talks and training programs, partnering with subcontractors and leadership to enforce compliance and reduce environmental risks. Travel to active project locations as required. This role supports Haselden Construction's safety culture across commercial and heavy civil projects, offering a salary of $80,000–$95,000 annually with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and paid time off.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of Environmental, Health and Safety experience in commercial construction, heavy civil, industrial, or comparable field operations environments
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards, environmental compliance requirements, and applicable state and local regulations
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, observations, and incident investigations within active construction environments
  • Knowledge of fall protection, excavation and trenching, crane and rigging, confined space entry, silica exposure control, electrical safety, and lockout/tagout
  • Ability to lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions
  • Ability to interpret safety plans, engineered drawings, SDSs, and technical documents
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb ladders, and access elevated work areas
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including fall protection when necessary
  • Travel to assigned project locations as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with stormwater management practices, SWMP implementation, and environmental compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management platforms such as Procore
  • OSHA certifications and professional credentials such as CHST, ASP, SMP, CSP, or OSHA 500
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
