Job Summary
Establish and maintain compliance with state, federal, and county safety, health, and environmental regulations. Continuously improve EHS performance to world-class standards while managing, directing, and driving the implementation of safety programs and management systems. Investigate accidents, incidents, and medical problems to initiate corrective and preventative actions. Perform routine inspections for hazardous conditions, including monthly fire suppression equipment checks. Manage environmental permits and required programs by partnering with Facilities & Maintenance and outside consultants. Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics reporting to trend recordable incidents and near misses. Develop systems for local EHS governance, annual strategic planning, and document control. Present EHS victories and best management practices on the Global CPP EHS conference call. This role supports business operations within our Braintree, MA foundry manufacturing defense and commercial components.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EHS Sciences or related field
- 4+ years of previous Environmental, Health and Safety experience in manufacturing
- Working knowledge of Environmental, Safety, and Transportation regulations
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work with others through complex situations
- Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
- Complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire
