Job Summary
Conduct routine facility safety and environmental inspections, perform Job Safety Analyses, and assess PPE to align with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Maintain safety equipment, document hazardous waste accumulation areas, and coordinate waste pickups per regulatory requirements. Assist in incident investigations, track EHS objectives and KPIs, and prepare data for internal and external audits. Support training activities and ensure all documentation remains audit-ready. Occasional travel under 5%.
Required Qualifications
- Direct, clear communication skills
- Solid attention to detail especially in documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to work within structured ISO processes and follow procedures
- Bachelor's Degree complete in the Occupational Safety and Health or Emergency Management
- OSHA 30 (General Industry)
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification
- Ability to read, understand, and apply written procedures, regulatory requirements, and instructions in English
- Basic algebra and measurement calculations used in inspections, tracking, and environmental reporting
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Must meet OSHA-powered industrial truck (PIT) medical requirements
- Must be able to pass a Respirator Medical Evaluation and annual respirator fit test per OSHA 1910.134
- Must be physically capable of responding to emergencies, accessing elevated areas, and navigating typical manufacturing conditions (noise, dust, uneven surfaces)
- PPE required based on job activity and area
- Occasional travel (<5%)
Desired Qualifications
- 0-2 years in a manufacturing work environment
- Exposure to EHS programs, OSHA compliance, or environmental requirements
- Additional safety/environmental certifications (HAZWOPER, ISO Internal Auditor, etc.)
