Job Summary

Oversee drilling operations, soil and groundwater sampling, and in-situ remedial technologies while managing subcontractors and coordinating project schedules. Compile and evaluate environmental data, prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and boring logs, and maintain detailed field notes. Provide emergency response support for HAZMAT spills and train derailments, including sample planning and regulator correspondence, with potential travel throughout the East Coast. This role requires 70-80% fieldwork in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working at remote sites with hazardous substances. Candidates must possess a BS in Geology, three years of experience, proficiency in MS Office and digital field apps, and a valid driver's license. Arcadis provides substantial health and safety training, mentoring, and a strong safety culture for all project activities.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Geology, Geosciences, or Environmental Science
  • 3 plus years of related work experience
  • Proficiency at using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A current valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Proficient in digital applications such as electronic data collection apps, Fulcrum, FieldNow, ground water forms, soil sampling logs, GIS, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Excellent written and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Efficient time management
  • Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions and for extended periods
  • Candidates must also be able to meet the physical demands associated with performing field work, including lifting heavy equipment up to 50 lbs., working in a standing position for extended periods of time, working alone at remote sites, etc.
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training
  • Previous industry, consulting, or regulatory internship experience
  • 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response training
