Job Summary
Conduct hazardous materials surveys for asbestos, lead, mold, and other contaminants while overseeing contaminated site remediation and abatement work. Collect environmental samples, perform soil borings and monitoring well installations, and prepare technical reports including ASTM Phase I and Phase II assessments. Analyze field and analytical data, document findings with notes and photographs, and manage workloads, records, and emergency response services. Perform exposure monitoring and specialized industrial hygiene projects while adhering to health and safety policies. Requires valid driver's license, willingness to wear PPE, and availability for night and weekend shifts. Entry-level role with regional travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree/GED
- Valid driver's license
- reliable personal vehicle
- Available to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other required personal protective equipment
- Willingness to conduct asbestos/lead/mold remediation monitoring, surveys, exposure monitoring, and specialized industrial hygiene projects
- Available for night and weekend work
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, various weather conditions, climb stairs/ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, manage workloads effectively, and travel up to 25% regionally
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field
- Asbestos, Lead, and/or 40-hr HAZWOPER certification
- familiarity with applicable federal and state regulations
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other widely used computer programs
