Job Summary
Environmental Field Technician responsible for executing, supervising, and documenting field aspects of environmental monitoring, site assessment, remediation, and construction activities at GES's Exton, PA location. Duties include assisting with remedial system Operation & Maintenance, maintaining equipment calibration logs, recording detailed field notes for each site, performing general labor and construction tasks, equipment repairs, and supervising contractors on subsurface excavations, waste removal, and installations of piping and electrical components. Must follow GES engineering, construction, and O&M policies, adhere to Health & Safety Standards, and be prepared for outdoor work with a flexible schedule. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus (training provided if not yet earned).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-4+ years of related fieldwork experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (required to perform duties)
- Outdoor work willingness
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, team player
- Mechanical skills (pumps, motors, PVC pipe)
- Power tool use
