Environmental Equipment Calibration Technician

Job Summary
Test, calibrate, repair, and maintain environmental testing and monitoring equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Prepare equipment with accessories, calibration data, and paperwork for customer rentals. Respond to client calls for technical assistance, troubleshooting, and training. Assign asset status and labeling, then inspect returned gear to ensure all peripherals are accounted for. Maintain thorough records of electrical safety inspections, chemical SDS documents, and the technical software library. Request spare parts and accessories as needed to keep inventory stocked. Work in an office and client environments, including seasonal weather and damp locations, while following all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Available for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and or completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and experience in the environmental services field
- Must possess outstanding communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills
- Self- discipline qualities including accepting feedback from others, upholding organizational values, supporting organizational goals, willingness to make decisions, keeping commitments
- Detail oriented with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and colleagues
- Solid planning and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast- paced work environment
- Ability to read, understand and follow all company standard operating procedures and guidelines
- Ability to utilize and follow PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required
- Critical thinking skills to assist in problem solving
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow all applicable safety regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted
- Must be able to drive a Pine vehicle
- Available to work after hours, weekend and holiday emergency, when necessary
