Job Summary
Environmental Engineer at SpaceX Starbase responsible for providing technical expertise and assisting in implementing environmental, health, and safety programs. Responsibilities include supporting regulatory programs at Starbase, tracking and interpreting environmental regulations, managing air permitting (PBR, PSD, Title V), maintaining and implementing environmental plans (TPDES, SWPPP, SPCC, P2), preparing compliance reports (Tier II, TRI, hazardous waste), coordinating with Engineering/Operations/Launch/Construction to integrate environmental requirements, and maintaining regulator relationships. Strong emphasis on hands-on environmental compliance, written and verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced aerospace setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of professional experience in the design, development, and execution of environmental and regulatory compliance programs.
Additional Requirements
- ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee, or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
