Job Summary
Environmental Engineer with a remediation focus based in Chicago, IL operating in a hybrid model. Responsibilities include supporting remediation system operations, soil and groundwater investigations, and remediation projects, collecting environmental field data (soil, groundwater, vapor sampling), and assisting with data management and basic technical report production. Requires demonstrated field experience in remediation system operations, maintenance, and monitoring, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work under moderate supervision within budget and schedule. Preferred candidates have 4 years of field experience, 40-Hour HAZWOPER training, and Master’s degree as a plus. The role offers opportunities to contribute to regional and national projects within AECOM’s environmental remediation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or closely related field AND two (2+) years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license, subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening
- Subject to Background check
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
