Job Summary
Environmental Engineer or Scientist in Midland, TX focusing on contamination assessment and remediation within GHD's Environmental practice. Responsible for contributing to the design of engineering solutions, overseeing feasibility testing, and ensuring HSE policy compliance; lead or supervise waste projects; support technical troubleshooting; recommend technical developments; create engineering drawings; collect and analyze data; manage projects; design test procedures; prepare technical correspondence, proposals, and reports; coordinate permitting; interpret environmental regulations; and travel to field sites as needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team are required. The role requires a Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Geology with 3-8 years of relevant experience; licensure (PE/PG in TX/NM) is highly regarded; HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field
- 3-8 years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, remediation & design, site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation and project coordination
- PE or PG in Texas or New Mexico will be highly regarded
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
