Environmental Engineer II

Job Summary
Conduct and oversee site inspections, assessments, investigations, and cleanups in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines. Work with environmental technicians on data collection, site evaluation, and documentation of environmental compliance tasks related to stormwater, wastewater, air quality, and waste regulations. Provide technical guidance and support to project staff preparing permits, pollution prevention plans, and regulatory reports. Prepare charts from data samples and determine data collection methods for site surveys. Actively participate in creating a positive team environment and support project planning and RFP responses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or other engineering discipline
- Five to ten years of experience working on environmental projects, or five to ten years working in an environmental analytical laboratory
- Must meet ADEC's definition of a Qualified Professional
- A broad understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company's Driving Policy
- Ability to pass drug and background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in federal government projects
- 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations certificate
- Familiar with federal and state regulations relating to stormwater, wastewater, air quality/emissions, oil storage, and waste in PE-licensed state(s)
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations relating to environmental restoration projects in same state(s)
- Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response training with current 8-hour refresher
- ArcGIS experience
- Experience with Health and Safety functions
