Job Summary
Conduct contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation field assessments, including sampling groundwater, soil, sediment, and air for environmental contaminants. Design, install, and operate remediation systems while documenting operations via fieldnotes, tablets, and daily reports. Lead or support project teams in executing technical tasks, verifying safety, and scheduling subcontractors to adhere to scope, schedule, and budget objectives. Prepare work plans, proposals, and technical documents, communicating progress to project managers. Perform 10% to 60% of time in fieldwork across remote locations using aircraft, vehicles, and watercraft.

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Preference for civil, environmental, chemical, or geotechnical major
- US Citizen
- Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive a company vehicle
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint Online
- Adept at explaining technical aspects of fieldwork to internal and external clients verbally and in writing
- Professional Engineer Registration in Alaska
Desired Qualifications
- Zero (0) to Three (3) years of relevant professional working experience
- Specialized training
- Advanced degree, such as an MS, may be substituted for work experience
- Proficiency in other programs such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, GIS, databases, and environmental modeling programs
- DEC qualified environmental professional
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER
- 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
- CPR/1st Aid/AED Certified
- Engineer-in-Training certification
- Experience working on projects for USACE, AFCEC, and other DoD/Federal clients
- Knowledge and experience with Alaska Native cultures
