Job Summary
Lead field activities, including drilling oversight, environmental sampling, and remediation system monitoring, while coordinating subcontractors and ensuring regulatory compliance. Evaluate and interpret environmental data to support site characterization, remedial decision-making, and regulatory reporting for CERCLA, PFAS, and chlorinated solvent projects. Prepare technical reports, work plans, and permit applications, and assist project managers with budgeting, scheduling, and client communications. Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on complex soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination challenges. This role involves up to 50–60% travel in one-week increments and requires specific driving duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline
- 3-5 years of environmental consulting, site investigation, remediation, or related experience
- Experience supporting CERCLA, PFAS, RCRA, or state-led environmental investigation and remediation projects
- Experience planning and leading environmental field programs, including drilling oversight, groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and vapor sampling
- Demonstrated ability to manage field teams, coordinate subcontractors, and implement site-specific health and safety requirements
- Strong technical writing, data analysis, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience preparing technical reports, work plans, memoranda, and regulatory deliverables
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and project teams
- Familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations and remediation programs
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer
- Flexible, adaptable, and motivated to support a diverse portfolio of environmental projects
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- Experience with EQuIS, ArcGIS, groundwater modeling, PFAS investigations, or remediation system operation and maintenance
- Experience with GIS or environmental databases
