Job Summary
Design and implement remedial activities for soil, soil gas, and groundwater, including in-situ remediation, SVE, and vapor mitigation systems. Prepare work plans, feasibility studies, and progress reports while managing site investigations, groundwater monitoring, and system installations. Evaluate remedial cost estimates and oversee task completion within budgetary and schedule constraints. Mentor junior staff and interface with clients to develop new business opportunities. This role requires independent work following company risk and quality policies, with occasional delegation of assignments. Candidates must demonstrate technical excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to lifelong learning within the environmental consulting sector.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of project management, site investigation, and remediation experience
- Familiarity with technical requirements for site remediation in California
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Excellent technical writing skills for environmental consulting applications
- Outstanding engineering/scientific problem-solving abilities
- Successful completion of 40 hours of OSHA health and safety training for working with potentially contaminated materials
- Annual 8-hour refresher courses
- First aid training every three years
- CPR training every year
- Annual medical monitoring
- Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork
- Ability and willingness to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, chemical, environmental preferred)
- A Master's degree with a focus on remediation
- Professional licensure in California
