Job Summary
Environmental Engineer responsible for ensuring site regulatory compliance for air, water, and solids waste management across two ALTIVIA facilities (Crosby and LaPorte, TX). Will support plant personnel with safety, transportation, and environmental regulatory compliance; manage permit renewals and regulatory reporting (DMRs, TSCA, SARA, NPDES, Title V, RCRA, RMP); coordinate testing activities (stack testing, RATA, stormwater, metals, leak detection); maintain RCMS documentation and support internal/external audits; participate in PSSR and MOC processes; investigate environmental incidents as Environmental SME; engage in emergency planning with LEPC/MMA; oversee waste shipments and act as radiation safety officer; contribute to product stewardship and EPA/DOT regulatory programs; provide EHS training and maintain training records; collaborate with ALTIVIA EHS resources and operations staff across Crosby and LaPorte facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in environmental engineering (or equivalent)
- 5 years’ experience in chemical plant operation
- Strong understanding & experience in OSHA and environmental regulations, and hazardous materials handling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Possesses a high level of initiative and is able to work effectively with minimum supervision
